Warmath RA
The Warmath RA will live in Warmath Family Housing and assist the Department of Residence Life by serving as a peer resource, model, counselor, and friend who promotes student development and community in the Warmath Family Housing complex.
Qualifications:
-Be a committed disciple of Jesus Christ, actively pursuing a Christian lifestyle
-Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75
-Be in good judicial standing with the Office of Student Services
-Possess demonstrated leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Expectations:
-Should be a committed follower of Jesus Christ and be actively involved in a local church
-Should be a currently enrolled, Union student, living in Warmath Family Housing
-Should be available to students on a daily basis
-Consistently pray for Warmath residents
-Uphold Union's core values
-Confront and report violations to the policies in the Campus Life Handbook
-Carry out the duties listed under “Responsibilities”, noting that August and May are the busiest times for most of these tasks.
Responsibilities:
-Checking out residents who are moving out, conducting a thorough walkthrough of the apt.
-Communicating with the Residence Life Coordinator in a timely manner
-Submitting work orders to Facilities Management as needed for issues in Warmath units
-Checking on and refreshing empty apartments before new residents move in
-Cleaning any apartment that wasn't cleaned properly when residents moved out
-Helping cover RA responsibilities in Hope Graduate Housing if Hope RA is unavailable.
(Hope RA will do the same when Warmath RA is not available.)
-Utilizing $200/semester to spend on events that build community among Warmath residents.
-Being friendly and welcoming and available to residents, endeavoring to meet new residents who are moving in.
Compensation:
$300/month will be removed from your the housing charges on your student account.
