Finance Director ($5,000 sign-on bonus) - Copper Country Mental Health Services - Houghton, Michigan

Copper Country Community Mental Health Services seeks a full-time Finance Director to join their team in Houghton, Michigan, beginning in the spring of 2026.

WHAT WE OFFER.

  • $92,392 to $109,581 annually; starting wage will be based on experience.
  • PLUS $5,000 sign-on bonus.

  • Full-time Monday – Friday position generally working 8am – 5pm.

WHAT YOU WILL DO.

In this role, you’ll lead the financial operations of our community mental health services organization and play a key part in supporting our mission of improving lives every day. You will:

  • Oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions.
  • Manage budgeting and financial planning processes.
  • Supervise claims and billing activities.
  • Direct cash flow and treasury management.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and audit requirements.
  • Prepare financial statements and State reports.
  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Director and leadership team to maintain the agency’s financial health.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR.

  • A Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance (MBA and/or CPA preferred).
  • At least five years of progressively responsible experience in finance or accounting.
  • A track record of leadership, collaboration, and clear communication.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics GP is a plus.
