R & D Scientist

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented R & D Scientist to join our R&D Development team. This fellowship will provide hands-on experience in formulation laboratory techniques, analytical instrumentation, and data analysis, supporting ongoing R&D projects.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the small molecule chemistry, degradation pathways, characterization and stabilization techniques.
  • Learn to apply the principles of physical/organic chemistry, physical pharmacy & materials science to solving practical pharmaceutical development problems.
  • Assist in the preparation, analysis, and testing of samples using standard analytical techniques.
  • Support day-to-day R & D development related activities under supervision.
  • Maintain accurate and organized laboratory notebooks, data records, and documentation in compliance with GLP/GMP standards.
  • Collaborate with senior scientists to troubleshoot and optimize development procedures.
  • Participate in team meetings and present findings when appropriate.

 

Qualifications:

  • Must be currently pursuing a Ph.D degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering or a related field with at least a GPA 3.0 and be ready to defend the dissertation within 3 months or has just received a Ph.D degree within the pas 12 months.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety practices and general lab techniques is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrate scientific creativity, initiative and contribution to the team. 
  • Must be a United States citizen, be a legal permanent resident, or possess all of the following: a valid immigrant visa, a valid employment authorization document, and an I-485 application pending with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Service
