Starting Salary: $22.78–$24.93 (depending on experience)

About this Position
The Juvenile Compliance Officer I oversees all juvenile delinquent cases received through the Municipal Court via citation referrals. They will perform specified duties and coordinate and facilitate a separate multifaceted juvenile court. This is a stressful position that requires strong customer service skills, as they deal directly with juvenile clients and their parents that may also be charged in these cases.
This position works half days on Fridays.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- One (1) year of related experience
- Or an associate's degree with at least four (4) years of experience
- Valid Oklahoma Driver's License and a driving record acceptable to the City's insurance carrier
Responsibilities
- Handle case flow management from intake through disposition
- Supervise and monitor juveniles on probation
- Maintain accurate and current documentation
- Conduct visits with the youth and their family, in the office, at school, and on the telephone
- Conduct preliminary inquiries on all juveniles referred for violation of municipal ordinances
- Formulate a well-developed, suitable probation plan
- Collaborate with various community organizations and agencies to identify community needs
- Work closely with referring agencies that provide services to the juveniles/families
- Attend court hearings with a written summary report along with verbal testimony when required
- Stay current on available resources to provide juveniles/families with needed services and information
Necessary Skills
- Ability to effectively and compassionately communicate with people from a variety of backgrounds
- Ability to retain detailed information and maintain accurate records
- Ability to meet the required physical standards for this position
- Ability to pass extensive background process and pre-employment drug and audio screenings
