Production Assistant Intern
Location: New York, NY (On-Site)
Compensation: $16.50/hour
Duration: February 2026 (Show Week Period)
Hours: Full-time during Fashion Week; flexible scheduling before and after shows
About the Role
We are seeking reliable and energetic Production Assistants (Venue Support) to join our on-site team for Fashion Week. Production Assistants will play a key role in helping ensure the smooth execution of runway shows, presentations, and backstage operations.
This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about fashion events, enjoy working behind the scenes, and thrive in fast-paced, high-energy environments. You’ll support the production team with venue setup, show transitions, and overall event coordination on the day of each show.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with venue setup, including seating arrangements, signage, and show materials.
- Support backstage operations — managing wardrobe racks, assisting with quick changes, and ensuring areas remain organized.
- Greet and direct staff, models, and guests as needed within the venue.
- Coordinate with the production team to manage show flow and timing.
- Handle last-minute production needs and ensure communication between departments runs smoothly.
- Assist in load-in and load-out before and after shows.
- Provide general support to producers, stage managers, and designers throughout the day.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or strong interest in event production, fashion, or live event logistics.
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Punctual, dependable, and professional under pressure.
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, high-energy environments.
- Availability during Fashion Week show days (including early mornings and late evenings).
