Software Development Intern

🎯 Role Summary

We are seeking a proactive and curious Software Development Intern to join our engineering team at DeusHire.
This role is ideal for someone with strong programming fundamentals who’s ready to work on real-world features across both frontend and backend systems. You’ll contribute to the core product powering our AI-monitored interview platform, helping shape the technology behind our secure, next-generation hiring solution.

 

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Frontend Development

  • Build responsive, modern user interfaces using Next.js and React.
  • Collaborate on UI/UX improvements that enhance candidate and admin experience.
  • Integrate frontend components with backend APIs and authentication systems.

🔹 Backend & API Development

  • Develop scalable APIs and microservices using Python (FastAPI).
  • Design and manage data exchange using REST APIs and JSON.
  • Integrate with third-party tools or AI services when needed.

🔹 Cloud & DevOps Support

  • Assist with deployment on Azure Cloud — App Service, Functions, and Blob Storage.
  • Support containerization tasks using Docker and contribute to CI/CD pipeline setup.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and release documentation.

🔹 Collaboration

  • Work closely with the founding team and senior engineers to plan and deliver product features.
  • Research and recommend new technologies or open-source tools relevant to the product.
  • Participate in weekly sprint discussions and contribute to product roadmap sessions.

 

Preferred Skills

  • Strong understanding of JavaScript / TypeScript and modern frontend frameworks (React / Next.js).
  • Working knowledge of Python for backend development (preferably FastAPI).
  • Familiarity with Azure Cloud Services (App Service, Functions, Blob Storage) or eagerness to learn.
  • Understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and full-stack application structure.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a small, agile engineering team.

 

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Experience with Git/GitHub, Tailwind CSS, or basic DevOps concepts.
  • Exposure to containerization (Docker) or CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
  • Curiosity about AI, computer vision, or cloud-based automation.
