Job Summary:
The Judge Group is seeking a Technical Drafter to support a leading client in the aerospace industry near Renton, WA or Everett, WA. This role plays a key part in the product definition process—translating complex engineering requirements into accurate 2D and 3D CAD data, drawings, and documentation used throughout the design and manufacturing lifecycle.
Ideal candidates are early-career professionals or recent graduates with strong CAD skills, mechanical aptitude, and a passion for aerospace design and engineering.

Responsibilities:
- Translate aerospace engineering requirements into detailed product definition data:
- Assembly, installation, and detail drawings
- 3D CAD models and 2D drawings
- Parts lists and Bills of Material (BOM)
- Validate all product definition data to company and industry standards.
- Maintain configuration management and product structure accuracy.
- Use tools like CATIA and Enovia to manage data and create documentation.
- Participate in peer reviews and team-based quality checks.
- Perform self-validation to ensure accuracy and adherence to specifications.

Project Workflow / Day-to-Day Activities:
Training Period (First 2–3 Months):
- Full-time onsite training to learn tools, processes, and aerospace-specific standards.
- Collaborate with team leads and fellow drafters in a hands-on learning environment.
Â
Post-Training:
Hybrid schedule (3 days/week onsite) expected.
- Receive task assignments from team lead; complete drafting work independently or in small teams.
- Pull work packages from a queue and collaborate with teammates to ensure design quality.

Required Qualifications:
- Completion (or near completion) of a 2-year drafting or design degree.
- 1+ years of experience with CAD tools such as CATIA, Enovia, or equivalent.
- Coursework or experience with:
- 3D modeling operations
- 2D/3D dimensioning and tolerance practices
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Preferred Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Prior experience in the aerospace industry or with Boeing systems.
- CAD software certifications.
- PDM (Product Data Management) system experience.
- Mechanically inclined—experience with machines, automotive work, or hands-on design.
- Strong interest or passion for aerospace engineering and design.

Work Schedule & Expectations:
Training Period: Onsite Monday–Friday (first 2–3 months).
Post-Training Hybrid: At least 3 days/week onsite.
Must be flexible based on team needs and project demands.
