UX Web Designer Intern

YOU WILL:

  • Update and maintain our branded website presence.
  • Work with WordPress to manage content and design.
  • Learn and support our Membership site on Kartra (no prior experience required—we’ll train you and you’ll gain a valuable skill for your portfolio).
  • Help grow national awareness of our brand through quality analysis and usability testing.
  • Design wireframes and mockups for new pages and features.
  • Collaborate with Web Developers and troubleshoot with our IT team on upgrades, backups, and improvements.
  • Participate in team meetings and senior leadership meetings.

 

YOU ARE:

  • Passionate about creating engaging content and responsive web design across all devices.
  • Experienced in web design with an understanding of core principles and basic database concepts.
  • Skilled in HTML, CSS, WordPress, and Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Proficient in Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, or Axure.
  • Knowledgeable in graphic design principles and usability best practices.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, reliable, and organized.
  • Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities while managing multiple projects.
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision, while attending video meetings as needed.
  • Strong in written and verbal communication, professional in email etiquette, and proficient with the Internet and MS Office.
  • Enthusiastic, team-oriented, and excited for the opportunity to contribute!
  • Tech-savvy, with a reliable computer and internet connection.
  • A super UX Designer ready to bring creativity and innovation to our team.

LOCATION: 

This is a virtual/remote opportunity which means you don’t have to deal with traffic or sitting in a stuffy office! You are able to work in a comfortable environment that provides a reliable and secure internet connection so that you can attend meetings and video conferences. 

VIDEO CONFERENCING: 

As a virtual company, we utilize cloud-based, unified communication and collaboration platforms for messaging, calling, video meetings, and file sharing to enhance teamwork and streamline communication. All teammates are required to have the company's designated communication platform installed on their laptop or desktop to collaborate effectively and fully participate in meetings and training sessions. Additionally, all teammates must turn on their video camera, share their screens, and actively engage in team meetings, one-on-one meetings, and training sessions. 

NOTE: Teammates are required to work from their desktop or laptop and are not permitted to use their cell phones as their primary device for completing assignments or attend meetings. 

TIMING: Our internships are 200 hours. Each teammate is required to work 10 hours a week for 20 weeks. 

COMPENSATION: This is an unpaid virtual internship, but the experience and connections you will get for your professional portfolio and LinkedIn profile are priceless!
