Full Stack Software Engineer

We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer in San Diego, CA to help design, build, and scale our web application. You’ll work across the full stack — from a modern Next.js front end to a Nest.js backend — and deploy through AWS services like Amplify and Lambda. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the application is performant, reliable, and easy to maintain.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using Next.js (frontend) and Nest.js (backend).
  • Design and manage data models and queries using MongoDB.
  • Build, test, and deploy serverless functions using AWS Lambda.
  • Manage deployments, hosting, and integrations through AWS Amplify.
  • Collaborate with the team to design and implement new features and system improvements.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
  • Monitor and debug production issues to ensure reliability.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of full stack development experience.
  • Proficiency in Next.js, Nest.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Strong experience with MongoDB (data modeling, indexing, aggregation).
  • Hands-on experience deploying applications with AWS Amplify and AWS Lambda.
  • Understanding of RESTful API design and integration.
  • Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub).
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HR tech is a plus.

Position Details: Salaried, Full-Time, Remote, Contract-to-Hire
