Business Analyst-Product Innovation Intern

As a Business Analyst-Product Innovation Intern, you will step into the dynamic world of educational technology as a key contributor to McGraw Hill’s innovative solutions for higher education. In this role, you’ll have the unique opportunity to blend creativity, technical skills, and strategic thinking to shape the future of learning tools. From imagining and prototyping cutting-edge tech solutions to conducting research on emerging trends, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving impactful projects forward.

You will join our Product Innovation Team, gaining hands-on experience working on innovative projects that drive the future of higher education technology. You will collaborate with dynamic colleagues across functions like Product, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, Learning Design, and User Experience to help McGraw Hill support our mission to revolutionize the educational landscape.

 

This is a 10-week summer internship from June 8th – August 21st and is a remote internship. Candidates need to currently be pursuing a degree within the United States.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Project Support: Assist in the imagining and prototyping of new tech solutions and tools designed for higher education. This may include wireframing, coding, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct research on emerging trends in educational technology, analyze competitor products, and compile reports to support strategic decision-making.
  • Documentation: Help create and maintain project documentation, including user feedback, specifications, schedules and training materials.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with team members and other departments to gather requirements, provide updates, and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
  • Liaison and Advocate: Serve as the primary liaison to the larger McGraw Hill college summer intern community, coordinating opportunities to gather feedback and insights from fellow interns. Actively provide your own feedback and advocate for higher education learners, ensuring their needs and perspectives are represented in our initiatives and solutions.
  • Testing and Feedback: Participate in testing phases for new products or features, provide detailed feedback, and assist in refining and improving prototypes.
  • Administrative Support: Perform general administrative tasks such as scheduling meetings, preparing presentations, and organizing project materials.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education Technology, Innovation or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with software development processes. Experience with data analysis or UX/UI design is a plus.
  • Research Skills: Strong analytical abilities with a keen interest in emerging technologies and trends in higher education.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

The pay range for this position is between $18-$20/hour. However, the pay offered may vary depending on degree pursuing, knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
