We are currently looking for a Commissioning Intern to join our Commissioning team located at our office in Nashville, TN. Our ideal candidate for this role will be in their sophomore or junior year pursuing a Mechanical Engineering degree with a passion for construction. We are looking for a motivated and driven individual with a self-starter mentality that is eager to learn and willing to be hands on!
Primary responsibilities for iENG’s Commissioning Intern include:
- Providing support for various engineering tasks aimed at developing technical, social, and ethical skills.
- Acquiring fundamental knowledge of Commissioning principles.
- Assisting in project research, field work, as well as preliminary design calculations and analysis.
- Aiding in the preparation of final design plans and special provisions.
- Assisting in the collection and maintenance of project documentation.
- Completing assigned task training.
- Demonstrating responsible and ethical decision-making when handling company funds, resources, and conduct, while adhering to iENG's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
- Performing additional responsibilities as required to meet business needs.
Primary qualifications for iENG’s Commissioning Intern include:
- Actively enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering or related Undergraduate program.
- Willingness to travel on an as needed basis to jobsites to further advance field knowledge.
- Demonstrated interest in Commissioning, Engineering, or a related field.
- Possesses a strong personal commitment to long-term and meaningful goals.
- The ability to multi-task with changing priorities and work within a deadline environment.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management and communication skills.
- Demonstrated confidence in their academic working knowledge and showcases the ability to utilize resources to find solutions to answers they do not know.
- Capability to receive constructive feedback from their managers, mentors, and leadership team to further develop skillset.
COMPENSATION AND HOURS:
- Compensation: $21/hr
- Working Hours: Full-Time (40 hrs/week) with a flexible start and end date.
