Office Assistant – Melbourne HQ
Join our dynamic team at Advanced Inspection Technologies (AIT) as an Office Assistant, reporting to our Office Manager and playing a hands-on role in daily office operations. This full-time, in-person position puts you at the center of innovative inspection projects—including space launches and other headline-grabbing work.
Compensation:
Hourly pay $15–$20/hour, based on qualifications and experience.
About AIT
AIT is based on Florida’s Space Coast—where rocket launches are routine. We deliver advanced visual inspection technologies for environments too dangerous or inaccessible for our clients. Our equipment supports:
- Space launch crews inspecting rocket engines for microscopic cracks
- Navy shipyards scoping fuel lines deep inside warships
- Major airlines keeping entire fleets flight-ready
- Power plants monitoring gas turbines to prevent unplanned outages
- Food & beverage plants verifying clean production lines
- Nuclear facilities examining waste storage tanks from a safe distance
Our toolkit includes borescopes that snake through jet engines, PTZ cameras that watch nuclear reactor cores, pipe cameras and robotic crawlers traveling 1,000+ ft. underground to map corrosion inside complex piping. Each job is a visual puzzle—matching the right imaging system, robotics, and custom setup to the customer’s need.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage incoming and outgoing shipments and coordinate logistics
- Answer phones and communicate professionally with customers and team members
- Assist with daily office tasks and support office operations
- Handle packages and materials (must be able to lift up to 30 lbs)
- Organize and maintain systems for office logistics
- Provide essential HQ support while sales managers travel and work remotely
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong tech skills; quick learner of new systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication (professional email writing and phone etiquette)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and reliable
- Ability to regularly lift packages up to 30 lbs
- Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, in-person office environment
