Part-Time American Sign Language (ASL) Instructor – Inspire Students Through Language & Culture!

What You’ll Do

  • Create an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom environment where students thrive.
  • Teach ASL using our ready-to-use curriculum and lesson plans — no lesson prep required!
  • Inspire curiosity, confidence, and cultural appreciation in students of all levels.
  • Adapt teaching styles to meet the needs of diverse learners and maintain high engagement.
  • Track student progress, provide constructive feedback, and celebrate milestones.
  • Collaborate with students, teachers, and parents to achieve learning goals.
  • Bring creativity, empathy, and enthusiasm to every lesson.
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with the Whizara team.

What We’re Looking For

  • ASL teaching experience or certification not required.
  • Prior teaching or tutoring experience (especially with elementary, middle, or high school students) preferred. Also open to those without prior teaching experience.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Comfortable using technology and visual aids to enhance instruction.
  • Able to engage, motivate, and connect with students in a fun and interactive way.
  • Punctual, organized, reliable, and a proactive self-starter.
  • Passionate about education, inclusion, and empowering students through ASL.
