Behavioral Health Associate
The Behavioral Health Associate in the Residential Program is responsible for working with clients in a residential setting to facilitate client growth towards treatment plan goals. The successful candidate for this position must be able to role model positive social skills and appropriate, healthy behaviors on a consistent basis, even in high-stress situations.
Major Areas of Responsibility:
- Ensuring the safety and security of clients
- Supporting clients during day-to-day activities in multiple settings, using therapeutic interventions and the Teaching Family Model
- Completing daily progress notes, weekly progress reports, and monthly progress reports on clients in the home
- Working in tandem with other organizations/individuals including Case Managers, Probation Officers, Social Workers, parents, and Mental Health Clinicians to meet the needs of clients
Primary Objectives:
- To facilitate client growth towards treatment goals over time
- To work with Program Supervisors, Case Managers, and other treatment team members to facilitate treatment plans for all clients
- Meet the expectations of the Alaska Core Competencies by receiving consistent feedback from supervision staff
