The Chip Woodrum Legislative Internship offers college juniors, seniors, and recent graduates a hands-on look at Virginia’s lawmaking process during the General Assembly session in January and February.

Sponsored by the Virginia Coalition for Open Government, the internship provides practical experience in lobbying, grassroots advocacy, and the workings of government transparency and accountability.

We’re looking for adaptable, curious students who can keep pace with the session, engage in policy discussions, and commit to spending 8–10 hours per week at the General Assembly in Richmond.
