Videographer for UGC Brand Content

About Kion:
Kion is a health and performance supplement brand dedicated to helping people feel their best through clean, effective nutrition. Our products are built around supporting energy, recovery, and overall wellness — designed for people who want to live and perform at their peak.

About the Job:

We’re looking for a film student to help us shoot a short series of UGC-style (user-generated content) videos. The goal is to capture natural, authentic footage of our products and people — handheld, unscripted, and approachable, not overly polished or commercial.

You’ll be responsible for filming only — our internal team will handle editing and post-production.

Details:

  • Type of project: Scrappy, UGC-style brand videos (handheld, natural lighting, conversational tone)
  • Duration: One day, approximately 3–4 hours
  • Compensation: Paid hourly (rate discussed upon selection)
  • Equipment: DSLR/mirrorless camera; 4K preferred, horizontal framing
  • Location: North Boulder, CO
  • Post-production: Not required — Kion will handle editing
  • Potential for ongoing work: We frequently produce similar content and love working with reliable creatives!

Skills Required:

  • Solid working knowledge of video production principles (composition, lighting, sound, and framing)
  • Experience operating DSLR or mirrorless cameras
  • Ability to shoot handheld while maintaining stable, visually appealing footage
  • Strong creative instincts - can identify compelling angles, moments, and lighting
  • Comfortable directing simple scenes and coaching on-camera talent
  • Familiar with capturing content for digital and social platforms (e.g., YouTube, Meta, TikTok)
  • Organized and self-sufficient - can manage gear, time, and shot lists independently
  • Clear communication and responsiveness during pre-production and on set
  • Basic familiarity with editing workflows (not required to edit, but understanding helps collaboration)
  • Professional reliability - shows up prepared, on time, and ready to adapt
