Legal Intern

We are a local law office offering Miami exceptional service to the residents of South Florida, and have trained dozens of young professionals that have gone on to become lawyers and exceed in law school.

We are looking for someone who has a passion for law or criminal justice. If you have any desire to be a lawyer, an internship is required for law school, and we give out great recommendation letters. Let us help you meet new people like judges, prosecutors, defense attorneys, and show you how the legal process works. We can train you and give you experience in the legal field by having you familiarize yourself with how cases really are, the clients, and first look at how a law firm usually runs.

This is a great way to STAND OUT for law school or graduate school applications.

  

Minimum/Desired Qualifications:

- Available to work at least 2 days a week

  • Bilingual in Spanish

- High school diploma

- Preferably enrolled in college/university and pursuing a law/criminal justice degree (NOT REQUIRED)

- Previous office experience is a plus

- Intern position MAY lead to a permanent position but only on how passionate and well you do here. It is up to you!

Some of the required qualifications include:

- Experience and confident working knowledge with business office programs;

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly convey information;

- Multitasking skills with an emphasis on prioritizing tasks;

- Confidence to work independently as well as with a team.

Job Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Calendar and maintain attorney calendars;
  • Submit E-File and E-Courtesy submissions filing with clerk;
  • Manage, Organize and maintain documents in paper or electronic filing systems;
  • Answering phones, speaking with clients and case parties.
  • Drafting and filing motions
  • Attending court in-person and on ZOOM
  • Coordinating with Judges, prosecutors and witnesses on a daily basis

Work Schedule:

- Available to work at least 2 days a week

  • 8 A.M. to 4 P.M.
