Entry-Mid Level Civil Engineer

SJH Engineering, P.C. (SJH) is a full-service consulting engineering firm with offices in New York, NY, Princeton, NJ, and Alpharetta, GA. We are currently looking to add an entry-level - 5 years of experience Civil Engineer to our team at our Princeton, NJ or New York, NY offices. The Civil Engineer will support the project team in various projects from conception through completion, ensuring that all work meets industry standards and client expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop horizontal and vertical alignments, roadway construction plans under the supervision of the Senior Engineer.
  • Develop Work Zone Traffic Control plans following MUTCD.
  • Develop grading, drainage and soil erosion, and sediment control plans.
  • Participate in site inspections and evaluations.
  • Construction support services.
  • Other tasks as required on a project-by-project basis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Entry level to (5) five years in civil engineer preferred.
  • Knowledge of engineering principles
  • Advanced experience in AutoCAD and MicroStation preferred.
  • Experience with Bentley Systems OpenRoads Designer and/or Autodesk Civil3D is highly desirable.
  • Prompt, reliable. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a team environment.
