Part-Time Accounts Payable Specialist

Kingsley Montessori School seeks a Part-time Accounts Payable Specialist. Key duties include managing the Accounts Payable cycle, reconciling bank statements and credit card expenses, and preparing annual forms. Additionally, the position involves managing reimbursements, and other business office duties as needed.

 

This is a benefits-eligible, part-time position averaging 20 hours per week. The weekly schedule offers flexibility to accommodate the right candidate’s needs. Work hours may be arranged over two to five days per week, with daily hours scheduled anytime between 7:30 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage Accounts Payable cycle and expense coding.
  • Monthly reconciliation of all bank statements
  • General Ledger reconciliation: AP, credit cards, other accounts as needed
  • Prepare and file Forms 1099 annually
  • Assist with annual audit: cash disbursement journals, accruals, prepaids, other tasks and reports needed by third party auditors

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or at least two years of accounting work experience is required
  • Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge or similar accounting software. 
  • Experience in not-for-profit accounting
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. 
  • Experience with accounts reconciliation and report preparation.
  • Ability to work cooperatively with students, peers, coworkers, and supervisors
