Sales Intern, Knoxville-based

We’re looking for a motivated, people-oriented Sales Intern, living in the Knoxville area, to join our team. This role is ideal for a student or early-career professional who wants hands-on experience in business development, client engagement, and event coordination — all while learning directly from one of our local Sales Representatives.

You’ll play a key role in supporting community outreach, helping current program participants, and driving attendance at our local Thought Leadership Events. This internship offers an inside look into the world of professional sales, relationship management, and the Dale Carnegie brand’s impact on businesses across East Tennessee.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Knoxville sales representative in driving attendance and engagement for local Thought Leadership Events
  • Help coordinate event communication and follow-up with participants and prospects
  • Learn and assist with sales prospecting, CRM updates, and outreach best practices
  • Provide participant care during ongoing Dale Carnegie programs (e.g., welcoming attendees, collecting testimonials, coordinating materials)
  • Assist with light sales administration, scheduling, and data entry tasks
  • Represent the Dale Carnegie brand professionally in all communications and community interactions

Hours & Compensation

  • $15/hour
  • Part-time, flexible around class schedules (15-25 hours per week)

  • Some evening event participation may be required
