Student Ministries Director

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Responsible, in conjunction with the Executive Pastor, for the vision and
    direction of GraceWay Students, with an emphasis on high school.
  •  Responsible for teaching as well as equipping others who may teach students
    on Sunday mornings and Wednesday Nights.
  •  Oversee, plan and provide leadership for church activities specific to GraceWay
    Students with special emphasis on retreats, activities, curriculum and
    discipleship.
  •  Oversee, lead and equip the GraceWay Students staff team to serve students
    and their families.
  • Consistently evaluate the needs of these students in the church and the
    community and shape appropriate ministries to effectively reach and
    disciple them.
  • Recruit, train, and oversee volunteers for GraceWay Students.
  • Cooperate and coordinate with Southfield Christian School (a ministry of the
    church) to ensure a healthy relationship between these ministries.
  •  Cooperate and coordinate with other GraceWay ministry leaders and employees
    to be occasionally utilized in other ministries of the church outside of the high
    school ministry based on skill set and gifting.
  • Administer the GraceWay Students budget under the supervision of the
    Executive Pastor and in conjunction with the Student Associate and
    Associate Student Director.
  • Serve as a member of the church Ministry Leadership Team (MLT) which
    involves church-wide vision planning and ministry execution.
  • Perform other duties as requested by the Executive Pastor.

 

Personal Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a vital and growing walk with the Lord through committed Bible,
    study, prayer, meditation, and fellowship.
  • Maintain proper priorities in your home.
  • Develop personal evangelism opportunities within and outside the church.
  • Faithfully support the church through the stewardship of your spiritual gifts,
    time, and finances.
  • Meet regularly with a mentor in the ministry for personal and
    ministerial development of skills and personal character.
  • Be an active member of GraceWay Bible Church.
