Ski and Ride Adaptive Instructor - Pico
Vermont Adaptive is looking for highly motivated individuals to assist in teaching ski & ride lessons for people with disabilities. We operate 7 days a week and provide training, assistance and more to individuals interested. General duties include:
- Assist the Program Coordinator with overall winter program operations
- Communicate effectively with volunteers, staff and coordinator both within Vermont Adaptive and with partnering organizations
- Must be proficient in either skiing or snowboarding OR be interested in a strictly administrative role
- First aid and CPR certification, Wilderness First Responder training preferred
- Complete online training, background check, and SafeSport Trained
- Attend at least 2 volunteer training days
- Competency in computer programs: Word, Excel, and Publisher
- Commitment to the entire season (January-March)
- Vermont Adaptive is looking for interns who are self-motivated, take initiative and have some experience or desire to learn about working with people with disabilities and adventure recreation.
- It is helpful to have ski and snowboard instructing experience and the ability to work well with others
- All interns must have a strong work ethic, flexibility, a love for the outdoors, an open mind and a love for working with people.
