YES On Prop 50 Youth Canvasser
The Grassroots Democrats HQ is looking for motivated Young Dem students that will will go door to door canvassing in their communities across California to support the November Special Election for Proposition 50. Students will be paid a stipend ($50 per shift to do AT LEAST 2 shifts per week through the general election) and a gas card for those who drive extensively.
Students will receive training and engage in basic elements of field organizing, including volunteer recruitment, volunteer training, data entry, management, and voter registration. Participants MUST receive a virtual zoom training before going out for their first shift.
An ideal candidate is a student currently in college, a senior in high school or someone in their early career period interested in organizing for democracy and making a difference in some of the most competitive Congressional campaigns across the country. Canvassers must be able to independently travel to and from their canvassing and voter registration locations.
