Catering & Events Internship

Seasonal Position | Oversight of Weddings and Member/Guest Events

The selected individual will be focused on the banquet side of Food & Beverage. Working directly with the Catering & Events Manager and Wedding Planner, he/she will be involved in the day-to-day operation of all F&B with the primary focus being banquets. He/she should have an eye for detail and ready to jump into any event that comes their way; the individual will be responsible for creating BEO (Banquet Event Orders), assist with the planning and organization of events, help create timelines and floor plans, linen orders, staff schedules, etc. Job responsibilities include the above along with opening/closing events, being the point of contact for events, and managing at least 2 events throughout the course of the internship; giving the individual hands-on experience that will complement their education.

 

Candidate Qualifications

Candidates must have previous Catering and Event experience, take pride in their work, have the ability to multitask, be self-motivated, and have a passion for the Event/Private Club industry. Candidates must be able to withstand prolonged standing, lifting, and carrying items up to 50lbs. Must be able to not just work, but excel without direct supervision at times.

Educational Requirements

Candidates must be currently enrolled in a Hospitality Management, Hospitality Business, Hospitality & Tourism Management, Event Management, or related program. Recent graduates or upcoming graduates are welcome to apply.
