Field Supervisor
As a First-Line Supervisor- Expansion joint belting removal and installation, ( flue gas ducting) you’ll take charge of coordinating, scheduling, and leading skilled crews to ensure every project runs safely, efficiently, and on time. This role is hands-on, people-focused, and vital to maintaining the high standards of quality our company is known for. Turnkey installations for our in-house fabricated expansion joint products.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, train, and motivate construction and daily field crews to achieve peak performance.
- Plan, assign, and oversee daily work activities for staff, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure all team members follow company safety protocols and comply with OSHA and site regulations.
- Daily job progress reports and communication w/ our own fabrication shop for needed parts.
Operations & Coordination
- Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring that all work meets project specifications and deadlines.
- Review blueprints and project requirements to determine manpower, materials, and procedures for quoting and successful job completion.
- Conduct daily site walkthroughs to monitor progress, identify challenges, and implement timely solutions.
- Collaborate with customer project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues and maintain smooth workflow.
Quality & Safety
- Perform inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure workmanship meets company and client expectations. Job completion walk down w/ site point of contact.
- Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures, immediately addressing any concerns.
- Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.
Additional Duties
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support project success.
Requirements
- Thorough understanding of construction trades and extraction work.
- Superior organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.
- Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Thorough understanding of materials, methods, and tools used in projects.
- Ability to read blueprints and other reports outlining specifications.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- At least ten years of related experience required.
- A valid drivers license.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to navigate job sites in varying weather conditions.
- Frequent bending, climbing, stretching, reaching, and inspecting required.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Weekly travel, including both in-state and out-of-state assignments, is required.
