Field Supervisor

As a First-Line Supervisor- Expansion joint belting removal and installation, ( flue gas ducting) you’ll take charge of coordinating, scheduling, and leading skilled crews to ensure every project runs safely, efficiently, and on time. This role is hands-on, people-focused, and vital to maintaining the high standards of quality our company is known for. Turnkey installations for our in-house fabricated expansion joint products.  

  

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead, train, and motivate construction and daily field crews to achieve peak performance.
  • Plan, assign, and oversee daily work activities for staff, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Ensure all team members follow company safety protocols and comply with OSHA and site regulations.
  • Daily job progress reports and communication w/ our own fabrication shop for needed parts. 

Operations & Coordination

  • Manage day-to-day site operations, ensuring that all work meets project specifications and deadlines.
  • Review blueprints and project requirements to determine manpower, materials, and procedures for quoting and successful job completion. 
  • Conduct daily site walkthroughs to monitor progress, identify challenges, and implement timely solutions.
  • Collaborate with customer project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve issues and maintain smooth workflow.

Quality & Safety

  • Perform inspections and quality assurance checks to ensure workmanship meets company and client expectations. Job completion walk down w/ site point of contact. 
  • Enforce strict adherence to safety procedures, immediately addressing any concerns.
  • Proactively identify and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity and quality.

Additional Duties

  • Perform other related duties as assigned to support project success.

Requirements

  • Thorough understanding of construction trades and extraction work.
  • Superior organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze situations and identify ways to improve efficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Thorough understanding of materials, methods, and tools used in projects.
  • Ability to read blueprints and other reports outlining specifications.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least ten years of related experience required. 
  • A valid drivers license. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to navigate job sites in varying weather conditions.
  • Frequent bending, climbing, stretching, reaching, and inspecting required.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Weekly travel, including both in-state and out-of-state assignments, is required.
