Package Testing Engineer Intern
The Package Testing Intern CO/OP supports the Package Testing department in the development and creation of new package designs for PCI clients. Working collaboratively with Package and Graphic Designers, the candidate performs various tasks. would utilize engineering skills and technical insights to evaluate, develop, test, and qualify effective packaging systems for PCI’s clients. Under guidance of Principal Associate, utilizing practical packaging development knowledge, effective report writing and hands-on assembly skills, the Package Testing Engineer would support PCI’s Package Testing Services, commercial sales efforts as well as the successful commercialization of awarded packaging projects. In addition to the primary role for package testing, the incumbent would support package design and on-site prototyping projects as needed. Package Testing Engineer would support workflows and reliability of on-site Package Testing Lab and regularly coordinate projects with external partners. The Package Testing Engineer may engage clients, consultants, vendors and suppliers directly to aid in the successful design and implementation of new packaging systems and products.

- Responsible for packaging design and concept generation, specification management, sample creation, and performance testing.
- Support the CAD based structural design.
- Support the physical creation of functional prototype packaging.
- Support optimization of existing packaging.
- May support Project Management and Engineering activities as required.
- This position may require overtime and/or weekend work.
- Knowledge of and adherence to all PCI, cGMP, and GCP policies, procedures, rules.
- Attendance to work is an essential function of this position
- Performs other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor
