Environmental Intern
Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm has a position available for a limited-term, part time intern to work on environmental projects starting in May/June 2026 and ending in August/September 2026. The hours for this position could vary weekly from 20 to 35, and occasionally more.
Responsibilities include:
- Environmental sampling and recordkeeping
- Entering of waterways for collection of water quality and flow data using various types of monitoring equipment
- General maintenance of vehicles, work areas, and monitoring equipment
- Delivery of analytical samples to a laboratory
A valid driver’s license and the ability to hike moderate to difficult terrain is required.
Successful candidates must have:
- Completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in environmental sciences, water technology, or related field
The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:
- Environmental sampling experience
- Technical documentation/ recordkeeping experience
- Familiarity with OSHA/MSHA safety regulations
- Microsoft Office software experience
