Environmental Intern

Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm has a position available for a limited-term, part time intern to work on environmental projects starting in May/June 2026 and ending in August/September 2026. The hours for this position could vary weekly from 20 to 35, and occasionally more.

Responsibilities include:

• Environmental sampling and recordkeeping
• Entering of waterways for collection of water quality and flow data using various types of monitoring equipment
• General maintenance of vehicles, work areas, and monitoring equipment
• Delivery of analytical samples to a laboratory

A valid driver’s license and the ability to hike moderate to difficult terrain is required.

Successful candidates must have:

• Completed at least two semesters of college-level coursework in environmental sciences, water technology, or related field

The ideal candidate will have any/all of the following:

• Environmental sampling experience
• Technical documentation/ recordkeeping experience
• Familiarity with OSHA/MSHA safety regulations
• Microsoft Office software experience
