Commercial Intern
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Intern to join our Charlotte office. This internship will provide exposure to the commercial side of the logistics and ports industry, including contract support, business analysis, and market research. It’s an excellent opportunity for students pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, or a related field to gain practical experience in a dynamic corporate environment.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Contract Support: Assist with reviewing, organizing, and maintaining commercial contracts and related documentation
- Business Analysis: Collect and analyze commercial data to support pricing, forecasting, and decision-making
- Market Research: Conduct industry and competitor research to identify trends and opportunities in ports and terminals
- Reporting: Assist in preparing reports, presentations, and dashboards for the commercial team
- Project Support: Provide support on ad hoc commercial projects and initiatives
- Technical Contribution (Plus): Apply computer/programming skills to improve data analysis and reporting efficiency (preferred, not required)
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Pursuing a degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field
- Strong analytical and research skills
- Effective communication and organizational abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); technical/programming skills a plus
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling data and documentation
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment
