About the Role:
As a Test and Certification Engineer, you will work closely with the R&D department, leveraging your technical expertise to provide testing and certification support under North American cellular networks, and actively contribute to the growth and productivity of our North American sales team.
We are looking for an engineer with strong interpersonal communication skills, technical understanding, IoT industry knowledge, and learning ability to help the R&D team build test environments and complete assigned testing tasks. You will gain hands-on experience with North American live networks and apply that knowledge to the development and testing of new products. In line with R&D progress, you will also conduct regression testing on existing products. This position is based in Fairfax, Virginia (East Coast, USA), and requires travel to California, Texas, New Jersey, and/or other locations in the United States for baseline and formal testing under live cellular networks. The role requires approximately 20% travel.
What You'll Do:
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for evaluation, planning, tracking, coordination, and support of domestic and international certification projects for communication products.
- Conduct prototype pre-testing, manage certification sample submissions, collect, organize, and review certification documents according to certification plans.
- Track and coordinate issues during the certification process, drive relevant personnel to implement effective debugging and corrective actions, and provide regular certification status updates.
- Coordinate and communicate with R&D teams, operators, and certification laboratories to ensure smooth testing and retesting progress; build and maintain strong relationships with labs and operators.
- Consolidate and standardize domestic and international product certification requirements and process guidelines.
- Familiar with basic LTE/WCDMA/GSM signaling protocols and procedures, capture and analyze log information to work with R&D team.

- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Communications, Telecommunication, Electronic Engineering, or related fields.
- Familiar with computer networks and communication protocols.
- Proactive, diligent, team-oriented, and eager to learn new technologies.
- Recent graduates with strong potential are encouraged to apply.
- Automation testing experience is preferred.
- U.S. or Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or individuals with work authorization in the U.S.
- Location: InHand USA Office, Fairfax County, VA.
- Familiar with communication products; candidates with experience in project management, R&D, testing, or technical support are preferred.
- Strong English reading and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of modem AT command operations; relevant development experience is preferred.
- Familiar with LTE and WCDMA wireless air-interface signaling; experience in processes such as network search, registration, and bearer establishment on mobile devices is preferred.
