The Experiential Storytelling \ Designer is a creative contributor within Thrive’s Experiential Storytelling division, responsible for crafting compelling visual assets and branded experiences that connect emotionally with audiences. This role is ideal for a concept-driven, detail-oriented designer who thrives on turning insights and narratives into visually powerful campaigns.

Reporting to the Experiential Storytelling \ Director, the Designer will collaborate across Thrive’s service pillars—working closely with Behavioral Intelligence (research & strategy) and Connected Activation (media deployment)—to deliver design work that is not only imaginative but also measurable in impact.

 

\POSITION DETAILS

  • Employment Type: Part-time
  • Compensation: Based on experience
  • Location: Primarily remote, with preference for candidates based in Southern California
  • Additional Info: Occasional in-person creative workshops, client sessions, or production days may be required with advance notice

 

\KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Creative Design & Storytelling

  • Develop brand identities, campaign visuals, and design systems across digital, print, and experiential platforms
  • Translate strategic insights into designs that tell a story and inspire action
  • Support concept development for campaigns, promotions, and activations
  • Create presentation decks, social media content, and marketing collateral that reflect Thrive’s creative standards

Content Production Support

  • Design assets for video, motion graphics, livestream events, and AR/VR experiences
  • Collaborate with copywriters, producers, and editors to ensure visual cohesion across all media formats
  • Ensure timely delivery of creative assets that meet technical specs for multiple platforms

Collaboration & Integration

  • Work closely with the Experiential Storytelling \ Director to align visuals with campaign strategy
  • Partner with Behavioral Intelligence on translating insights into creative concepts
  • Coordinate with Connected Activation to ensure designs are optimized for performance across channels

Quality & Consistency

  • Maintain brand consistency across all client deliverables
  • Ensure all design work meets Thrive’s standards of clarity, originality, and strategic alignment
  • Balance creative innovation with client guidelines, timelines, and budgets

 

\QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3–5 years of professional design experience, ideally within a marketing agency or creative studio
  • Strong portfolio showcasing brand identity, campaign creative, and digital-first design work
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, After Effects) and design platforms such as Figma or Canva
  • Familiarity with motion graphics, video editing, or 3D design a plus
  • Experience designing for both digital (social, web, programmatic ads) and print (collateral, signage) formats
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to present ideas clearly
  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, communications, or a related field preferred (not required)

  • Thrive operates as a distributed team; this is a remote role with flexibility in working hours.
