The Role
This internship is a unique opportunity for a talented and ambitious student to work on frontier problems in computer vision at a new kind of financial institution. You will be an integrated member of the team, contributing to projects that extract meaningful signals from unstructured visual data like live video feeds. This is a hands-on role where you will gain invaluable experience in the entire CV project lifecycle, from data processing and model training to evaluation and analysis. You will work alongside senior engineers on high-impact projects that directly contribute to our core competitive advantage.
What You’ll Do
- Contribute to Core Projects: Assist in the development, training, and evaluation of deep learning models for tasks like object detection and tracking.
- Work with Large-Scale Data: Help build and maintain data pipelines for collecting, annotating, and processing large volumes of visual data.
- Implement and Test Models: Write clean, high-quality Python code to implement model architectures and run experiments to measure performance.
- Analyze Results: Participate in the analysis of model outputs and contribute insights that will help guide project direction.
- Learn and Grow: Gain hands-on experience with modern CV and MLOps tools and technologies in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.
What You’ll Bring
- Exceptional Academic Background: Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, AI, or a related technical field from a top-tier university.
- Strong Programming Skills: A strong foundation in programming, with proficiency in Python. Experience with a deep learning framework like PyTorch or TensorFlow is a major plus.
- Foundational CV/ML Knowledge: You have a solid understanding of the core concepts of computer vision and machine learning through your coursework and projects.
- A Passion for Building: You are intellectually curious and have a demonstrated passion for the field, evidenced by personal or academic projects.
- Eagerness to Learn: You are a proactive, fast learner who is excited to tackle challenging real-world problems.
