Warehouse Associate (Seasonal)- A.D. STARR


A.D. STARR is a company owned by DICK’s Sporting Goods. In this role, you will execute the unloading, loading, staging and warehousing of cartons, practicing safe and secure procedures and following proper material handling methods for maximum productivity.  This role requires a high degree of detail orientations, a sense of urgency to meet all deadline requirements, and a willingness to take on multiple warehouse/operations assignments – in addition to general warehouse needs.

  • Safely operates manual equipment according to procedures
  • Completes all documentation neatly and accurately and reports any errors found to Supervisor
  • Completes data entry to support the warehouse management system requirements
  • Performs spot checks of system to ensure merchandise is sorted properly
  • Practices safe and secure packaging strategies to avoid shipping problems
  • Verifies purchase order, case pack quantities and other information prior to receiving, picking or packing merchandise
  • Performs housekeeping duties as assigned to ensure a safe and clean work environment
  • Can be assigned to work in different areas of the building, based on business needs, including but not limited to product decoration
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 50 lbs. items repetitively (up to 25 times per hour).
  • Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up to 70 lbs.+ items intermittently (up to 15 times per hour) with assistance and/or the use of manual lifting equipment, e.g., pallet jack, dolly, etc.
  • Ability to work at heights greater than 4 feet with use of a ladder, aerial lifting device, or platform.

A.D. STARR business hours are Monday – Friday 8A to 5P.
Flexible hours
Weekends not required.

**Please note this is a seasonal role designed to be approximately 16 weeks

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience
