Flavorist Food Scientist

Ixora Scientific is hiring for a Flavorist/ Food Application Scientist with expertise in botanical chemistry, analytical chemistry, and flavor science. Flavorist/Food Application Scientist

  • BS in Chemistry, Food Science, or Biology; completed qualifying training program as a Flavorist; minimum of 5 years of industry experience in flavor creation.
  • Experience in flavor and application creation for Taste Modulation technologies, such as sweetness modulation, masking, mouthfeel modulation, dairy taste and mouthfeel, saltiness, savory taste, carbonation, alcoholic taste, etc.
  • Experience in creating flavors for sweet goods, beverages (carbonated and non-carbonated, alcoholic and non-alcoholic, citrus, coffee, tea, berries, and more), dairy (yogurt, ice cream, plant-based dairy), and savory applications (including plant-based meat products).
  • Expertise and knowledge in developing the required data for FEMA GRAS approval for taste and taste modulation ingredients.
  • Reports to the CSO.
