Clinical Research Technical Operations Lead
Role: Clinical Research Technical Operations Lead (Digital Health)
When: Immediate (looking to hire within 2 weeks)
Duration: 4 - 6 months (can extend based on needs); weekly 15 – 20 hours commitment
Location: Hybrid role – virtual and onsite (Ravenna, OH). Candidate ideally located within 30-minutes of driving distance from Ravenna, OH.
Job Description: This is a highly visible role of a Clinical Research Operations Technical Lead, who will assist with technical operations for a small user study (15 patients). The candidate will report to the CEO and assist with deployment of nucleusRx’s virtual care digital health solution to patients’ home, troubleshoot, and help with other technical operational needs during the study period. The role will entail the following primary focus:
- Learn about nucleusRx’s virtual care solution (devices, web/mobile applications and configurations)
- Assist with creation of operational documentation and guide for study deployment
- Quality Test nucleusRx's devices to make sure they are operationally ready
- Assist with creating patient account and configuring solution; test the solution components prior to deployment
- Travel to patient location with visiting nurse to deploy solution, configure and train users
- Observe and document individual user’s (patient/provider) aptitude with managing the UI and components of the solution, preferences, difficulties etc. (during patient visits)
- Act as Tier 1 support lead for any issues arising from the user base
- Assist with initial basic troubleshooting (guideline/training will be provided)
- Liaise with remote engineering teams for issue reporting and resolution
- Travel to patient location to troubleshoot as needed
- Other activities:
- Document all learnings routinely (policy, procedure, troubleshooting steps, user observations, technical issues etc.)
- Routine/ad-hoc reporting to manager
- Liaise with nucleusRx-contracted Clinical Research (CRO) team to provide technical and operational support
Requirements:
- Motivated individual who is a self-driver and has strong project management skills
- Comfortable with operating and guided troubleshooting of robotics system, software interfaces (mobile and web applications)
- Basic shell script/command line operation knowledge
- Can troubleshoot basic LAN/WAN connectivity issues
- Android based app management knowledge
- Familiar with UI design and Design Thinking (Human Factor) principles
- Excellent oral/written communications skills:
- strong technical English
- comfortable communicating and interfacing with user groups of geriatric patients of varied demography, nurses and doctors for demo, training, and troubleshooting purposes
- communicate with internal stakeholders dispersed in different time zones
- Must be able to drive to patient locations for solution deployment/training/troubleshooting and user observation
Qualification:
- MS/PhD students with prior experience in Software or Hardware based technology companies (ideally but not limited to, medical devices, digital health technology, healthcare software solutions)
- Will consider senior BS students majoring in Computer Science/Health Informatics/Robotics Engineering or similar field with prior internship experiences
- Time flexibility is desired with minimum commitment of 10 -15 hours/week
- Must sign an NDA
