Premedical Student Research Mentor (STANDOUT Program)

Description:
MedLeague’s STANDOUT Program connects undergraduate premedical students with graduate-level mentors to gain hands-on experience in biomedical research. We’re seeking passionate graduate students (Master’s, PhD, or MD/DO) to mentor small groups of undergraduates as they develop and present their own research projects.
As a mentor, you’ll help students explore scientific questions, analyze data, and communicate their findings through posters and written reports. This is a flexible, remote position that allows you to make a meaningful impact on future medical professionals while strengthening your own leadership and teaching skills.
Responsibilities:
Guide students through literature review, data analysis, and project development
Meet weekly with mentees (individually or in small groups) via Zoom
Provide constructive feedback on research design, writing, and presentations
Support students in preparing posters and abstracts for conferences
Qualifications:
Current graduate student or graduate degree holder in a relevant discipline (Biology, Chemistry, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, etc.)
Strong communication and mentoring skills
Comfortable working remotely
Coding or data analysis experience preferred
Minimum 10 hours per week commitment
Pay: Starts at $20/hour
Location: Remote
