Logistics Sales Coordinator

We are an international, asset-based supply chain services and solutions company. Our services include air and ocean freight forwarding, contract logistics, distribution, inbound logistics, truckload brokerage, and other supply chain management services. We are based out of DFW Airport.

The Logistic Sales Coordinator will be people-oriented, highly motivated and a self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. This position will be responsible for assisting Upper Management and leading quote requests. The sales coordinator will be responsible for producing internal/external quotes and capturing the win/loss ratios by logging the feedback results in the system. Additionally, the Sales Coordinator will utilize organizational resources to quote while ensuring timely responsiveness to ensure KPI adherence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Design and deliver quotes for our clients; both internal and external
  • Ensure compliance within the Company Sales Policy
  • Reach out to potential customers via email/telephone- initial calls.
  • Respond to sales inquires.
  • Assist Managers on other tasks that may be assigned while meeting deadlines
  • Ensure adherence to company policy at all times.
  • Helping to build a sales pipeline by generating and developing new business opportunities
  • Negotiate, build and maintain long-term partnerships with both new and existing clients
  • Bidding on freight movements and providing pricing
  • Generate leads by cold calling potential clients, understanding client needs and identifying sales opportunities
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all of our services, as well as those of our competitors
  • Close new business and meet monthly/quarterly/annual sales targets
  • Make timely and professional decisions while maintaining service standards and profitably
  • Communicate promptly and efficiently, providing clear, concise, and consistent status updates, with external clients as well as internal support teams

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a sales-oriented role.
  • Must have operational experience in freight forwarding or logistics – handling air and/or ocean shipments.
  • Ideal candidate has experience in pricing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Cargowise/ AS 400 knowledge is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of all regulatory (i.e., Customs) law, practices, and procedures
  • Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently
