Communication and Member Specialist
OVERVIEW: Independent Community Banks of North Dakota (ICBND) is the only statewide association exclusively representing the independent community banks of North Dakota. Driven by the needs of our members, our mission is to be proactive industry advocate; to promote and protect community banking; and to create cooperative products, services, and educational offerings that help our members compete and flourish in a constantly changing financial services marketplace. Position Description & Details
This position is responsible for general office administration and support; internal and external communications coordination; and administration of the Association website, newsletter, social media, databases and associate memberships. The ideal candidate believes that variety is the spice of life, small details matter, and problem solving is exciting.
This position offers a 37.5-hour work week, Monday-Friday, though occasional evening meetings and in-state overnight travel will occur. At times longer hours may be necessary due to events or member needs. Valid driver’s license required.
Compensation: $50,000-65,000 based on education and directly related experience. Competitive benefits package including employer-paid health, vision, and dental insurance; paid vacation and sick leave; and 401k match.
Minimum Requirements
- Associate degree in communications, marketing, public relations, business, or a related field and two years of experience in marketing, public relations, or a similar position.
- Strong writing, proofreading, and editing skills for a variety of media and platforms.
- Ability and willingness to take on projects in unfamiliar areas and can acclimate quickly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enjoys working both independently and collaboratively.
- Shows attention to detail and is well organized. Strong multitasker.
- Finds supporting teammates and association members rewarding and enjoyable.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to adhere to deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations, business, or a related field.
- More than 2 years of experience in marketing, public relations, or a similar position.
- Knowledge of or experience in the community banking or financial services industries.
- Proficiency with Canva or another graphic design software.
