Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant / COTA

Statewide Travel Required, including to our central office in Pasadena, CA, for meetings. Full Time, Part Time, Per Diem

$25-$50 | DOE & Job Type

On-site Training and support are provided by the central office team in Pasadena.

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated SPED Specialist / Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to work under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist, providing specialized, school-based therapy to K-12 students with special needs. This role involves travel to school sites and providing support on proprietary company platforms such as VillageED and iTAAP.

What You’ll Do

  • Implement therapeutic activities to help students with sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, and daily living activities.
  • Provide training to school staff and parents on how to incorporate therapy goals into daily routines.
  • Document student progress by maintaining detailed records of therapy sessions for IEP reports.
  • Collaborate with other professionals by participating in IEP meetings to support students.
  • Travel to school sites across California and occasionally to our Pasadena, CA, for corporate meetings.
  • Provide client support on VillageED and iTAAP platforms.

 

What You Bring

  • State Board Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant License.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar software.
