
Tax Accountant

JOB SUMMARY
The Tax Accountant will be working under the general supervision of the tax management team and other senior staff. This position assists the tax team with the company’s annual provision, federal and state tax compliance, and other tax matters.
JOB FUNCTION
- Assist in the quarterly and annual tax provision.
- Prepare and review federal, state income & franchise tax returns and related workpaper support.
- Prepare and review fixed asset reconciliations and review additions for accuracy.
- Prepare schedules and perform analysis supporting company’s compliance with international taxation Forms 5471/8858, foreign tax credit, Subpart F, etc.
- Prepare quarterly estimated tax calculations and extension calculations.
- Assist in federal and state income tax controversy matters.
- Respond to notices from various state tax jurisdictions.
- Respond to tax questions from other departments and groups.
- Provide support for on-going projects and manage various projects
- Perform tax research and analysis when required.
- Provide tax technology support for various tax schedules and processes.
SUPPLEMENTAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in progress in accounting, finance, taxation, or business-related field required.
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in corporate taxation or accounting preferred.
- Knowledge and understanding of ASC 740 and GAAP.
- Detail oriented, well organized with strong analytical skills.
- Must possess strong interpersonal skills and strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be able to manage multiple projects effectively and works well in a team environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Excel.
- Experience with tax technology such as Alteryx and Tableau is preferred
- Must be able to commute to the office a minimum of 3 times per week
