Long-term Substitute Science Teacher
Description: Plans, implements and assesses student learning experiences. Helps foster a love of learning for students and appropriately guides the learner to lead their learning. Facilitates parental involvement. Builds strong relationships with students and collaborates and communicates effectively with all stakeholders. This position is located at Bay Port High School for Grades 9-12 from January 8, 2026 to approximately February 6, 2026. Pay is $190.00/day; pay is reduced for assignments less than a full day.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution. Licensure and certification by the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction for Science (1601, 1605, and 1625) required. Successful completion of student teaching experience. Knowledge of current educational methodology and practices.
Experience in or knowledge of: Viable candidates will be an active member of the school community, be able to create a positive and supportive classroom community, be organized and efficient, and to facilitate the district and school's mission to develop 21st Century Learners. Desired experience with working with students with more significant needs.
