Region 4 Inspire Texas is now recruiting aspiring educators to join our state-approved teacher certification program, designed to prepare and support individuals from diverse backgrounds to become successful public school teachers across Texas.

We are seeking individuals who are passionate about education, committed to equity, and ready to lead their own classroom. No prior teaching experience or education degree required.

About Region 4 Inspire Texas:

We are one of the largest and most trusted educator preparation programs (EPPs) in Texas. Backed by Region 4 Education Service Center, Inspire Texas provides streamlined, affordable certification pathways for aspiring teachers—including non-traditional candidates, career changers, paraprofessionals, and recent graduates.

Responsibilities (as a candidate in our certification program):

Complete required pre-service training and field experience hours (including observations and student teaching or internship)

Prepare for and pass required Texas teacher certification exams (e.g., PPR, content exam)

Participate in mentor coaching, online coursework, and real-time feedback from certified educators

Work toward full teacher certification and classroom readiness aligned to TEA and district expectations

Commit to serving students in high-need content areas (math, science, bilingual, special education, etc.) or high-need districts

• Commitment to educational equity and closing opportunity gaps
• Interest in teaching and working with diverse student populations
• Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn, receive feedback, and grow professionally
• Bilingual skills a plus (but not required)

Minimum Requirements:

• Must hold a bachelor’s degree (or be on track to graduate by the program start date)
• Minimum 2.5 GPA preferred (some exceptions may apply based on TEA rules)
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass a criminal background check
• Willingness to complete required testing, training, and classroom experience as outlined by TEA

Compensation & Benefits:

This is a certification program, not a salaried job. However, once hired by a school district, candidates may be eligible to earn a first-year teacher salary ranging from $54,000–$65,000+, depending on the district and certification area. Inspire Texas provides:
