
Project Support Analyst

Fellowship Program Position: This Fellowship Program position is a full-time, temporary, limited term assignment not to exceed three years from the date of hire. It is intended for individuals that have graduated with a bachelor's degree or master's degree from an accredited college or university within the last 12 months.
The Project Support Analyst is responsible for performing routine support and analysis work. The incumbent will provide technical analysis and support to the Project Management Office (PMO), supporting the document management and review process, performing quality assurance and testing, and providing overall PMO support and research. This position reports to the Director of the Project Management Office.
This is an onsite position at our Austin office, with the opportunity to work from home one day a week based on business needs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Project Coordination & Agile Facilitation
• Maintain project schedules, calendars, and task lists.
• Track milestones and deliverables across waterfall and agile projects.
• Support scrum teams in organizing standups, refinement/grooming sessions, retrospectives, and sprint reviews.
• Help manage scrum boards or other agile tools.
• Collaborate with Product Owners and Business Analysts to gather and update business priorities ahead of sprint planning.
• Assists project managers with documenting and tracking actions, issues, decisions, and risks for projects.
• Assists in the operation of the IT Governance process and logging, tracking, and reporting on information technology service requests and projects.
• Coordinates meetings, facilitates records and manages meeting minutes, and documents actions, decisions, issues, and risks associated with projects and the overall PMO Program.
Documentation, Reporting & Compliance
• Prepare meeting minutes, dashboards, and status reports.
• Maintain project artifacts and ensure version control.
• Assists in updating relevant project artifacts as required, incorporating changes and clarifications.
• Designs and manages document workflows to streamline processes.
• Ensure projects follow PMO standards and templates.
• Assist in risk and issue tracking and escalation.
Stakeholder Communication & Technical Analysis
• Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units.
• Help product owners and business analysts translate business needs into actionable items.
• Assists in the collection and management of data supporting PMO and other related agency projects.
• Coordinates with Product Owners, subject matter experts (SMEs), technical designers, developers, testers, etc. to ensure requirements are properly documented across various systems.
• Conducts research and investigations into potential solutions for business problems.
Fellowship Curriculum
• Participates in trainings and projects related to the TRS Fellowship Program including webinars, quarterly check-ins, classes or other learning activities, book group, projects, and the mentoring program.
• Meets TRS Fellowship Program deadlines and goals for completion of trainings in deliverables in a timely manner.
Performs related work as assigned
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Required Education
• Bachelor's degree or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Project Management, Management Information Systems (MIS), Business or a closely related field awarded within the last 12 months.

Preferred Qualifications
• One (1) – three (3) years of administrative or project coordination experience.
• Scrum certification (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster®, Professional Scrum Master I, Certified Product Owner®).
• Familiarity with Agile project environments and team collaboration tools.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of:
• General project management concepts.
• Various information gathering and reporting techniques, including use of Microsoft Excel and SharePoint.
Skills in:
• Using Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools.
• Effective written and verbal communications, including preparing and delivering complex correspondence, reports, presentations, and proposals.
Ability to:
• Provide quality customer service.
• Organize and prioritize work to manage a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment, and complete work accurately while meeting deadlines.
• Establish and maintain harmonious working relationship with co-workers, agency staff, and external contacts.
• Work effectively in a professional team environment.
