School Facility Services Project Manager Internship

The School Facility Services Project Manager Intern is responsible for assisting with construction projects being completed by SFS. The intern will work directly with the Construction Operations Director, Ops Manager, Sales, HR, and VP to oversee specific tasks as needed to make sure of high-quality craftsmanship and profitability of work completed by SFS. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyze blueprints and scope of work to estimate contractors needed, materials, etc.
  • Oversee projects onsite.
  • Ensure safe operations and quality control.
  • Order materials.
  • Manage individual construction projects from start to finish.
  • Close jobs and submit invoices for payments.
  • Attend meetings and functions
  • Other duties as needed.

Requirements: Valid driver’s license and authorization to work. 3+ years of management experience a plus, OSHA 10/30 certification a plus.

Education: HS Diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred

Salary: $20-24 hourly

Location: In-person position at the office in Alexandria, VA. On site within the Washington DC Metro, Northern Virginia, and Maryland are the primary territories, but other areas as needed in the mid-Atlantic region.

Schedule: Part-time position of 20-32 hours per week as needed, generally following normal project hours. They will vary to meet client and staff needs. Typically, Monday through Friday and some nights or as needed on weekends.
