Modak is a US-based fintech platform leveraging the power of finance and technology to empower kids and teens to reach their full potential. We pursue this mission by offering a gamified fintech and learning ecosystem - with Visa debit cards, family checking accounts, payment applications, enabled by AI-powered infrastructure and embedded with financial literacy. We are built for scale and security using leading technologies and best practices that power tens of thousands of API calls per day (and scaling rapidly!).
We are a global company, with teams across the US, Latam and India. We do in person retreats every 3-4 months. If you are hungry to learn, humble to work with, and hustle to find creative ways to solve problems, we would love to hear from you - especially if you are living in the US, Colombia, Argentina, Brazil or India.
Modak is currently at the Series A stage, having raised $19M from leading investors, including Notable Capital (Airbnb, Anthropic, Square, TikTok, Coinbase), Nazca (Kavak, Justo), Monashees (Rappi, Loft), ONE VC, Maya Capital, and more than 40 other top angel investors, founders, and operators across the US, India, and Latin America.
What we’re looking for
A Feed Hacker. Not a social media manager. Not a brand strategist.
The next generation spends more time on social media than on TV or any other media. E.g., Apple leans harder into giving away iPhone 17 to Dualipa than ads on late night talk shows!
The next generation trusts authenticity more than manicured profiles that no one visits. E.g., Parents trust blippy and Ms. Rachel over 100 year old brands with polished posts.
Attention is the most precious commodity, and the feed algorithm decides whether you get that attention. E.g., 12 out of 15 last posts of Duolingo have <200k views whereas the hit reel has 3M views! 500M likes vs. 16M subscribers!!
We are looking for someone who is a social media addict AND someone who wants to leverage that addiction and sharp eye to garner the attention of the next generation (and their parents). Use that attention to create awareness on financial literacy and prepare the kids for the future.

This is a new role. While we believe the following could be ideal qualifications, we’re very open-minded and eager to listen and learn. Ideal qualifications include someone who:
- Is extremely online. Lives where the feed lives: fluent in social scroll culture, not just a visitor. Can spot “the invisible hand” of Apple when they see many influencers flaunting their new iPhone 17s!
- Knows social media culture, trending videos, reels , and explore-page cycles inside out. Itches to get in on the trend and wants to lean in to nurture that fire for good.
- Can spot cultural shifts before they peak and jump on them fast.
- Operates at the intersection of Content/Brand + Growth: you create content that feels alive in culture while pushing forward towards the mission. You know how to make it distribute it so it actually reaches the audience and engages them.
- Can turn fintech + teen life into content that both entertains and informs, if not motivates!
- Cultural radar and empathy; you can code-switch teen ↔ parent fluently.
- AI tools + human creativity: you know when to move fast with automation and when to double down on your own creative instincts.
- Meme literacy, impeccable timing, and instinct for format+hook+payoff.
- Have a strong set of values and guiding principles so you use the power of tech for good
Formal experience isn’t required, and neither is big fan following. Proof that you’ve a great eye for social is. More like the producer or director of a show, and not necessarily an actor/ influencer. Of course, there are rare gems who play two or more of those roles! We are more keen on the director/ producer elements for this role at this time.
What you’ll do
- Build a movement online that creates awareness on financial literacy and motivates the parents and kids to take action. In this role, we care more about broader market awareness over pitching our product.
- Help give Modak a daily pulse — replies, quips, trend participation
- Help us jump into timely convos so Modak feels present in the feed, not just on launch days
- Spot trends before they blow up and adapt them to Modak’s voice
- Help us show up in the feed like a friend, not a brand
- Edit short video (Reels/TikTok) using native tools (cuts, text, timing) as well as external/AI tools (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut, auto-captioning, or creative AI assistants).
What success looks like
- Teens stop scrolling because Modak feels like it belongs in their feed
- Our content hits that balance: fun and useful, authentic and sharp
- Our voice shows up in the right conversations
