Marketing and Event Coordinator

Marketing & Event Coordinator Job Description

Do you want to be a part of a fast paced, locally owned small business with a reputation for great customer service and follow through? Do you love the events & hospitality industry, but also love marketing would like a Monday - Friday, 9-5 job with most evenings & weekends off? We are looking for a marketing & event coordinator to join our growing team. High attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and the ability to multi-task are a must.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Answering telephones that are constantly ringing!
• Help customers place rental & catering orders by creating quotes & contracts for interested customers
• Place new orders into the schedule & remove rental from inventory
• Fill information into sub-contractor contracts after customers book
• Finalize details for booked events booked with two-weeks of the event
• Proactively handle any arising issues with a customer and troubleshoot for a positive outcome
• Provide outstanding customer service through phone calls, emails and in-person consultations for both private & corporate customers

• Scheduling social media posts & building the company’s online presence
• Updating website with new menus & photos
• Managing marketing campaigns across different platforms
• Attend wedding shows and other community events as a Biebel’s representative
• Evaluating donation & sponsorship requests to determine best opportunities to support in community while also increasing community awareness of the company


SKILLS
Excellent sales & customer service skills and ability to build productive business relationships
Excellent interpersonal skills, with both customers & the Biebel's team
Ability to learn quickly & retain information then apply that information to similar situations
Excellent time management and communication skills & ability to meet short deadlines while managing multiple projects
Ability to be consistent with branding and messaging across multiple marketing platforms
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent
Proficient working in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel & Outlook
Comfortable communicating by email, phone, & in-person to accommodate customers’ preferred method of communication


PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
An associate degree in marketing, hospitality or event planning or at least 1 year experience working in a marketing position
Experience with Caterease
Experience with social media management, website maintenance,
Bilingual
