Summer 2026 Intern, Integrated Technology Solutions - IF

About the Team & Role

The Integrated Technology Solutions (ITS) Section is an embedded technology innovation and solutions team that manages and supports the use of all information technology in our Division of International Finance. To support the mission of the division, the section creates custom web applications, maintains non-traditional databases, and leads the use of innovative techniques in statistical and graphical analysis of economic data. The section is also heavily involved in the organization’s transition from on-prem to cloud technologies and infrastructure for all aspects of the data analysis life cycle. 

 

ITS is looking for an undergraduate or graduate intern to join our agile team of software developers, UX designers, and data scientists in support of the Division’s big data and cloud infrastructure work and to provide support to any other special development projects or initiatives that might occur during this time.

 

About You (Background & Skills)

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, Info Sys Management, Data Analytics, or related, graduating Aug '26 or later.

Experience (including coursework) with one or more of Python, R, R Shiny, SQL, Shell, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Sharepoint Online, Office 365, Microsoft Power BI, Geospatial data analytics, AWS, Git/GitLab, Apache Hadoop, Airflow

General experience with object-oriented programming (OOP) is desirable, but not required if the candidate has similar experience or applicable coursework.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Applicant must be a current student, graduating from their program August 2026 or later. Proof of enrollment will be required.
  • Available to work a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks during summer 2026, with on-site presence at our offices in Downtown Washington, D.C
