Intern - United for Business Product Development (Summer 2026)

United Worldwide Sales 

Our Worldwide Sales team is the largest revenue-generation department at United. Sales works with corporations, travel agencies, and content distribution partners to design, negotiate, and implement programs and agreements that achieve commercial objectives for United’s B2B relationships. 

This internship is designed solely to provide you with skill development and valuable work experience. This role will likely not convert to a full-time position at United at the conclusion of the internship.

 

United for Business Product Development

There is one internship opportunity within the United for Business Product team.

The United for Business Product Development team is part of United for Business Marketing, with a focus on creating and managing B2B solutions for corporate, agency, and specialty customers. Within this group, the Value Products team develops and manages innovative products that enhance the traveler experience and deliver value to customers in support of United’s broader business goals. The Product Development Intern will support a variety of projects, including gathering customer insights, assisting with reporting and dashboards, and contributing to the development of new solutions that drive loyalty and engagement from business travelers. The role will also involve collaboration with teams across the airline, including Sales, Finance, Loyalty, and Digital Sales, while providing exposure to how product development and go-to-market strategy operates in a global business environment. This internship offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience, build professional skills, and contribute to meaningful projects that impact United’s largest and most strategic customers.

 

 

Required

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities at once

Basic understanding of marketing principles, particularly business-to-business (B2B)

Customer focus: relativity and interest to test and develop new solutions to fit customer needs

Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills – ability to learn new systems quickly

Presentation skills – comfort with presenting in-person and virtually in front of large groups, including leadership

Organizational skills, particularly in working both intra- and inter-departmentally

Ability to coordinate and effectively work with diverse groups of people

Ability to review complex information and make recommendations

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship

 Reliable, punctual attendance

Analytical skills

Content management systems knowledge

SQL, VBA, or other database management skills

Basic visual and graphic design skills

Professional presentations to audiences of 20 or more people
