Plating Specialist
The duties of the Plating Specialist include plating line, regulatory compliance and plant safety.
Plating
- Must become a Certified Electroplater-Finisher
- Conducts analytical tests on solutions
- Uses atomic absorption spectrometer to determine metal concentrations
- Prepares atomic absorption analytical standards
- Measures brighteners dispense rates daily and adjust as needed
- Check chrome tank surface tension
Regulatory Compliance
- Ensures compliance with OSHA for wastewater discharge
- Certifies to the EPA every 5 years
- Performs air pollution control equipment maintenance
- Creates quarterly air permit compliance reports
- Monitors hazardous waste generation
- Collect data and file various reports
Safety Director
- Annually submits OSHA log online
- Oversees annual hearing tests
- Provides new employee safety training
- Ensures proper PPE is available and being used
Ideal candidates will have a strong foundation in chemistry and a passion for problem solving. Desired candidates will be coachable, organized and analytical. On the job training provided.
