The Marketing Assistant will provide direct support to the Defense Industry Advisors (DIA) marketing team, assisting with website builds, content creation, and campaign execution across multiple client accounts. This role is designed to ensure DIA can scale effectively if new website projects are secured.

Key Responsibilities

  • Website Support
    • Assist with content loading, formatting, and updates within WordPress, HubSpot, or other CMS platforms.
    • Coordinate with designers/developers to ensure pages are built to spec and launched on schedule.
    • Conduct basic QA testing to confirm functionality, responsiveness, and SEO compliance.

 

  • Content & Design Assistance
    • Support creation of marketing materials such as sales sheets, presentations, and social media graphics.
    • Research and draft content for LinkedIn campaigns, blog posts, and newsletters.
    • Help maintain brand consistency across digital and print materials.

 

  • Campaign Execution
    • Schedule and post approved content on LinkedIn and other digital channels.
    • Assist with email campaigns (copy prep, list management, reporting).
    • Track and compile campaign performance metrics.

 

  • Administrative & Coordination Support
    • Maintain project timelines and assist with task tracking for multiple website and marketing projects.
    • Support the marketing team during tradeshows and events with logistics, materials prep, and on-site coordination.
    • Assist in organizing assets (photos, videos, case studies) for easy access and use in client campaigns.

 

 

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or related field (internships included).
  • Familiarity with website content management systems (WordPress, HubSpot, etc.).
  • Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with basic design tools (Canva, Adobe Suite a plus).
  • Detail-oriented, able to juggle multiple tasks across projects and clients.
  • Eagerness to learn about the defense industry and work in a fast-paced, growing team environment.

 

Additional Notes

  • Position may be part-time or full-time depending on project volume.
  • Training will be provided for industry-specific tools and processes.
  • Seeking intern with ability to grow into large role
