Junior Analyst
The Clarity Analyst Team plays an important role in our predictive modeling, polling, and political data analysis. Our ideal candidate is eager to learn, quick to pick up new skills, and dedicated to progressive candidates and causes. In their time at Clarity, Junior Analysts and Analysts will become fluent in campaign data, field multi-mode surveys for campaigns and progressive organizations, and develop the technical skills to tackle a wide range of analytic challenges. Applicants are not required to have prior full-time work experience.
All positions are for the 2026 election cycle with potential to extend to a permanent role in 2027. We are seeking candidates who can start any time between January and early June 2026.
All positions are based out of our Washington, D.C. office. Clarity employs a hybrid work structure. Employees are expected to work from the office most Tuesdays and Wednesdays and have the option to work from home or from the office all other days.
Job functions:
- Support Clarity’s polling and predictive modeling workflows
- Work with large datasets using SQL and other data management tools
- Assist with the sampling, programming, fielding, and weighting of surveys
- Use mapping and data visualization tools to display predictive models, election projections, and other information and analysis
- Create reports, presentations, and other client deliverables
- Tackle anything else the analytics team tosses your way
Must have:
- A strong commitment to progressive causes and an interest in using data to support them
- Excellent research skills and ability to communicate complex ideas clearly to non-technical audiences through writing and visuals
- A diplomatic, professional approach to problem solving
- Ability to manage several tasks and projects concurrently and to prioritize work effectively
- Must be a self-starter and willing to work irregular hours as needed
Awesome to have:
- Familiarity with voter file data, databases, or SQL - especially Google BigQuery
- Democratic campaign experience, including as a volunteer
- Experience with data analysis and visualization in R, Stata, or similar statistical software
- Programming experience, especially in R or Python
- Prior work with GIS software like ArcGIS or QGIS
- Coursework in quantitative methods, especially in political science; computer science; statistics; or machine learning/artificial intelligence

Base salary range is $60-65K commensurate with experience. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as paid sick, personal, and volunteer leave.
